Nibshare is the quick-share rail on Nibgate. No domain, no site verification, no widget. Connect a wallet, write, set a price, and you get a short link at nibgate.xyz/ns/slug that pays you directly.

What is Nibshare?

Nibshare is the fastest way to gate something and get paid for it.

It runs on the same rails as the rest of Nibgate: x402 payments, USDC, Circle Gateway on Arc, AES-256-GCM encryption at rest. The difference is who hosts the content. On a creator site you own the domain. With Nibshare, Nibgate hosts and serves everything, and you get a short link in exchange.

The trade is deliberate. Shares are ephemeral. Every share expires at a time you choose, up to 7 days. And shares are private: they are never indexed in hub discovery, the public ledger, or on-chain reputation. Nibshare is for quick gated sharing, not for building a permanent catalog.

What can you publish?

• Articles, a rich markdown body with a title, excerpt, and cover image.
• Photos, a gallery of images with captions.
• Video, a single video file, up to 30MB.
• Music, one audio file with cover art.

Payments that just work

Under the hood, paid shares use Circle Gateway on ARC testnet, the same x402 infrastructure behind every Nibgate product.

When a reader hits your paid share, they get a payment challenge. They approve USDC directly from their wallet. The gateway settles, and the content unlocks instantly on the same page. One round trip, payment and delivery together.

That is the x402 standard, and it works for humans and AI agents alike. An agent can read the challenge, pay, and unlock your work without a browser session. That is what makes Nibshare interesting for agentic commerce: a paid link any program can pay.

Payments land straight in the recipient wallet you set. No platform cut, no monthly fee.

Free vs paid, and who gets to read

You control access per share.

• Free public shares, anyone with the link can read. No wallet needed.
• Paid shares, readers pay the price you set. Whitelisted wallets can pay a different, lower whitelistPrice.
• Invite-only shares, only wallets on your whitelist can read, even if they are willing to pay.

A whitelist plus a price turns your share into a tier: some wallets pay less, everyone else pays full price. Add invite-only on top and only your listed wallets can unlock it at all.

Why ephemeral?

Because not everything is permanent, and permanent should be the default for things you want to be permanent.

Subblogs and creator sites are indexed, persistent, and tied to a verified domain. That is where long-term work belongs. Nibshare is the fast lane: gate a snippet now, move on. If a share becomes something more, you graduate it to a site and keep the audience.

Security you don't have to think about

Nibshare encrypts everything before storage. Bodies and media are encrypted with AES-256-GCM; the keys stay server-side, wrapped with a backend-only secret, and never reach the browser. A modified blob fails the integrity check before any plaintext is produced.
